Style Icon: Miranda Kerr

I’ve said this previously and it was something that really resonated with me afterwards so I’m just going to repeat myself.
How you dress yourself casually is where your real sense of style shines the brightest.
With that said.. forget Miranda Kerr on the runway, red carpet or making public appearances. I think she is much more amazing when she’s caught running to the grocery store or hailing a cab. Her style is impeccable. She looks down to earth—her sense of style is so classy and simple that she has the ability to make anything she wears feel accessible to anyone.
It was so hard for me to just choose 6 photos!
Besides Charlize Theron, Miranda Kerr is my other favorite style icon.

The Casual Conundrum

It is always easy to throw on a dress for an evening out with your girlfriends and be hopeful that you won’t run in to someone who’s wearing the same dress you are.
Suffice to say, dressing up is fairly easy and doesn’t take much to get your style across: a dress you think is cute, an amazing pair of heels and a nice clutch. You’re set.
The challenge comes in the everyday life—rushing out of your door to make it to work on time, running errands, meeting up with a friend for coffee, picking up laundry, shopping—by way of casual dress. I think how you dress yourself casually is where your real sense of style shines the brightest.
I struggle from time to time and tend to latch on to a handful of reliable, fallback outfits. Said outfits are, of course, on rotation and I tend to switch it up when I buy new wardrobe pieces but, I tend to get bored fairly quickly.
As a spurt of inspiration for myself, and hopefully for you, above are some outfits I find inspirational that I will eventually mimic and add my own twist to.
